Art is therapy? And a discount

Here is what I've been up to....  In between trying to take care of myself (been off sick for a while...), taking care of my daughter and stepson, etc.  Been feeling depressed a lot.  What else is new?  Well art is therapy they say, so let me humbly call this art, my art, an attempt at healing.  Hope you enjoy!
Fun hematite skulls, fluted Tibetan beads, antiqued caps, hebron beads....
Brass, handformed, picture is a repro of a fresco by Giotto.  Resin, gold flakes, gold leaf
Kyanite, baroque beads, Tibetan lapis lazuli beads with silver caps, labradorite nugget
Drops by Petra (scorchedearthonetsy), antiqued stampings, rhinestone hearts (teapotsandtelephones), vintage necklace bits
Repurposed Afghan connectors, drops by Petra, rhinestone drop, pearl...

Those birds have been through hell in my studio :)  but i love the end result.  I just highlighted them with a brass chain and gorgeous dangles by Petra again
The pic doesn't do these justice. Antique sequins, baroque pearls, labradorite and roman glass shards
handmade polymer clay globules, with tons of paints and patina, and semi-precious dangles (aqua-marine, pyrite, kyanite, labradorite)

Handmade polymer clay heapins, antiqued caps, rondelles by Petra, African recycled glass, lampwork beads, Indonesian beads.  Also, magnificent drops from Teapotsandtelephones on Etsy.  Go check out her shop, it's worth the detour.
A walk in the forest!  Connectors by Petra, moss agate, kyanite, mottled glass beads, lava bead... raku too.

Kuchi buttons that I made into connectors, Czech black nugget beads, and rhinestone drops.
Clearly inspired by my friend Marina of fancifuldevices.  Handmade globule bead, glass drops, ceramic, electroplated quartz, and a big turkoman element enriched with Marina's cosmic rock technique.  Go check out her blog here.
Neckline is composed of woven cotton, fluted Tibetan beads...
Gorgeous Petra hearts, antiqued caps, engraved glass beads, Czech nuggets. Below, antiqued brass chain, of vintage origin, and rhinestone chain.

Le grand bleu - lapiz lazuli, ceramic "sugared" beads by my friend Kirstine (pm me for details - she's only got a shop in France), gritted Indonesian bead, rhinestone round, ceramic...

Le grand bleu, 2 - gorgeous dangles by Marina @fancifuldeices, ceramic beads by Kristine, glass beads.
Resin circles from teapotsandtelephones, below, gorgeous earthy drops by my friend Kristine. Above, antiqued caps, gold/green beads of unknown origin, and pyrite rondelles.

MOst of these are already listed, and the rest will be as soon as I'm done shooting pics, editing them, etc.   For a couple of weeks, use coupon ASH20 for 20% off any purchase in my Etsy shop

Soon to be listed!

In an effort to go on living after the horrific attacks perpetrated by Daesch in Paris a few days ago, I've been creating a lot. Living to create, even. I feel like it's vital now, even more than before.
More on that later, when my thoughts aren't so much in a shambles..

Here are a few pics of pieces that I'll be listing very soon. I have way more to photograph, but I'll get to it before the end of the week.

Back from the dead. Oh, and giveaway!

In French we say "manger son pain blanc" when things are easy, life is good, but we know that bad stuff is coming.  On the contrary, "manger son pain noir" means going through the tough stuff, but knowing it's temporary and while it may hurt like hell, it will get better.
That's basically what I did all summer long. But lo and behold.. I came out of that dark place and I'm feeling so much better.
So now.. hummm... basically trying to catch up. This poor blog has been abandoned for a long time, poor, poor little thing.

But hey, new stuff!

Earrings galore, as you can see.

Petra dangles... Boho chic

 Basha beads... <33333

I'm having so much fun with those little plastic sea thingies.  I have a bunch more on my worktable.
These ones you can find here

Look at that haul!!!

A pair that's a bit different, created from new stock/vintage look items I got from teapotsandtelephones, on etsy.

Dangle mania

So regarding that giveaway...  Since I've been away for so long and everbody's rightfully forgotten I even exist, I've decided to give away TWO pairs of earrings.  Yup.  All you have to do is comment either here, on this blog, or on Facebook, share the link to the blog and choose a number.  I'll draw two lucky winners next week, on Friday (Sept 25).  Go and spread the love!

Here are the two sets I'm giving away:
